Why choose me?
I have spent the last 25 years of my life working to improve the lives of others, working for organizations focused on food security, small-business growth, youth mentorship, increasing access to affordable housing and international development. I have held several leadership roles within these organizations, and my experience has given me a deep understanding of what good community development looks and feels like.
I have always had an interest in politics and attended the University of Toronto for Political Science and International Development. Given that my children are now older, I feel that the time is right and I am ready to leverage my experience and represent the interests of my fellow Ajax neighbours.
As the daughter of a 42 year Toronto Police veteran, I understand public safety and will work to make Ajax a safe place to live. I have an avid interest in environmental sustainability and I am the Board Co-Chair for a small organization called Mind Your Plastic, dedicated to reducing the use of single-use plastics.
I have the experience and passion needed to take Ajax into the next four years and beyond!
