Why choose me?

Ajax has been my home for the past 18 years. It's where my husband and I have raised our three children, built lasting friendships and become deeply involved in our community.

Over the years, I've volunteered extensively with local youth sports organizations, including girls' hockey, minor hockey and baseball. These experiences have given me the opportunity to connect with families across Ajax and better understand the community we share.

Professionally, I've spent more than 25 years working with organizations focused on strengthening communities, supporting vulnerable populations and creating opportunities for people to thrive.

My career has spanned food security, affordable housing, youth mentorship, economic development and international humanitarian work.

My interest in public service goes back many years. I studied Political Science and International Development at the University of Toronto, and throughout my professional career, I've had opportunities to work alongside governments, community organizations and business leaders to address complex challenges.

​

Public safety and environmental sustainability are also important to me. As the daughter of a 42-year Toronto Police veteran, I grew up with an appreciation for public service. I also serve as Board Co-Chair of Mind Your Plastic, an organization dedicated to reducing single-use plastic waste.

​

With my children now older, I've reached a point in my life where I can dedicate more of my time and energy to serving the community I've called home for nearly two decades.

For me, running for Regional Council is an opportunity to bring together my professional experience, my commitment to public service and my connection to Ajax.
